>>8683431Are you talking about large scale fandom shoots, or private shoots?
For fandom shoots, make sure to have a list ready of every character/couple/group/general so that you can go in order and keep everything running smoothly. Normal times per c/c/g/g is 10-15 seconds for the ones I used to run. Make a Facebook page and spread the word in the acen con group so you know how any people to expect and how to run it.
For private shoots (if you're the photographer), if you go through friends make sure to set timeslots and locations to meet up, scope out your con center or shoot area, have a set rate per shoot (I run 25 when I'm strictly doing photos and not cosplaying for the weekend), and make sure to shoot with reliable people and keep in contact throughout the weekend until the shoot. Keep your models/cosplayers updated within the week or two weeks after the convention and go over RAWS with them before editing that way you're both happy and can pick which shots to edit.
If you're the cosplayer or looking for a photographer, browse the acen facebook convention group, send shoutouts, ask friend recommendations, check to see if any friends have good cameras they're willing to bring to the con. check lighting and practice posing and all that good jazz.
