This is more directed at lolitas, but cosplayers feel free to answer to.
Do you know anyone who has become popular on the internet and changed as a result? This isn't meant to be a drama thread, so no real names. My best lolita friend (we'll call her Chelsea) has become "efamous" and has pretty much turned into a different person. Our comm has one of the most popular girls in the online community (we'll call her May) but she's very kind and down to earth in a genuine way. Chelsea and May used to get along fine, but Chelsea recently did a complete 180 and is not only a bitch to her face, but talks a lot of shit about her and makes obvious posts here and on BtB about her. She tells me it's because she thinks May is a fake fame hungry bitch, but I think it's out of jealousy and/or seeing her as a threat because she's the only one in the comm with more brand and followers. She also now scoffs at what everyone is wearing. If it's an especially nice coord or a dream dress, she'll say they're too ugly or fat to do it justice, even if they're better looking than her. She spends way more time on drama sites now than anyone I know, espee lolcow and PULL. I have no idea what to do because when I bring up her change in behavior, she acts like she has no idea what I'm talking about.
