What's with all the hate towards Pizza Hut?

In my opinion they are undoubtedly the best tasting pizza chain on the market.

I understand they can make it overtly greasy, but that's something I can look past when it tastes so good.

Stuffed crust cheese pizza is god tier for me.

What's your opinion on Pizza Hut /g/?

The only one near me is over the river in the ghetto. Like, they have no dine-in part and it's behind a foot of bullet-proof glass. It was up till that point the worst food I've ever eaten. A few years after that, I noticed they began delivering to the white neighborhoods within a mile or so. It took 90 minutes, half the order was missing, the other half was fucked up, and was even worse than the first time I ate there.

I'd like to find a non-hood Pizza Hut. My childhood memories of them are quite fond.

How do I get Pizza Hut/Domino's to deliver to student accommodation when I don't have a mobile phone? I gave them the address and stood there waiting outside, but I never saw a delivery car. I don't have a mobile phone or any phone, so I always have to give them a fake number.

for example a relatively small portion of locals have midsize sedans while a large proportion of the local population have trucks with raised suspension
it's become common for the trucks to hit/run over smaller vehicles
there are legitimate reasons to not like driving

you can get a burner for like $20
i got a nice one on sale once for like $5 when i worked at a grocery store and prepaid minutes for $10
enough to get pizzas and food delivered if you are on a budget. if you dont use the minutes at once they last a long time and the burners are getting to be very nice in quality

You could probably just spray the pan lightly with Pam and you wouldn't taste the difference. Not sure why they add a cup of soybean oil to ever pan unless they are secretly trying to make everyone overweight and buy more pizza.

Prepping the dough turned me off.

Worked there a year. The dough is just dried discs. We take them out the day before, spray them with oil, and let them thaw overnight.

We also "pre-make" pizzas, adding sauce and one layer of cheese and letting it sit in the cooler all day until needed. So one a slow day that pizza you got at night has probably been sitting in the cooler half made all day.

Best thing about working there was the free breadsticks and cheesesticks I'd make.

Oh and the cheese they use for the crust in OP is the best shit ever. Ate so many blocks of it we were always running out. Don't know why they don't shred it up and use it as another option for cheese topping.

I love Pizza Hut. When I was 12, I got a pretty gnarly case of food poisoning from eating a Pizza Hut pizza. The lingering effects of that food poisoning left me unable to stomach greasy and salty foods, which forced my family to shy away from fast food in favor of healthier, home-cooked meals. My parents weren't amazing cooks, so i felt the need to learn how to do stuff in the kitchen to make my life tastier but still healthy. If it weren't for Pizza Hut, I may have never become interested in cooking, so for that I thank them.

I love it. They currently have a promotion for 2 mediums for $6.99 each, unlimited toppings. I make out like a bandit loading them up. I try to get everything except pineapple since that has no business on a pizza.
You can get 3 meals per pizza for me so 2.33/meal to fill up is worth it.
To me it's more economical than homemade pizza.

The pan dough is literally getting fried in the oil so the crust gets crispy, I believe that is their reasoning behind it. I've put less oil in the pans before, all that grease is not worth the crispier crust.

My local pizza place is way better so I don't go to chain pizza places often. If I'm getting home from work later than they close I'll still rather get a frozen pizza from a late night supermarket and whack it in the oven than go to one of the chains that's open late.

The excess oil really is a dealbreaker for me.

Put special instructions that you will be waiting outside and then wait. If that doesn't work call up and tell them that you will be waiting in the quad. Unless the manager is a complete bitch/jagoff they will do it. We weren't allowed to deliver to gas stations but if someone called in and they seemed legit we would anyway.

But it is kind of a marvel that they manage to make pizza that's too bready, too greasy, too cheesy and too loaded down with toppings all at the same time. I won't deny it's impressive, I just don't ever want to eat that shit.
