Is smoking food fun?
Canning?
Cheese making?
Fermenting?

I already make my own yogurt and ricotta and sausages and nut butters. I also already have the facilities for temperature control and incubation.

Is taking it to the next step a good idea?

Where would I start?

God Tier /ck/ wedding registry

Guys, I am putting together a wedding registry with my fiance. Her family is huge (like 100+ people coming) and has some real $ so what are some GOD TIER kitchen items I could put on it? Price range $100-300. Give me the absolute best of the best. Has to be available on amazon. If I am not proactive about adding stuff then my fiance will fill it up with crap like table cloths and candle holders and other dumb shit. I need help, the sky is the limit, I have never thought about buying nice shit so I am having a hard time picking things.

So far I have:
>Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor - $180
>Shun Premier Chef's Knife, 8-Inch - $180
>Shun DM0716 Classic 4-Inch Paring Knife - $85
>Victorinox 12-Inch Granton Edge Slicing Knife - $56
>Wusthof Classic Cleaver 6 Inch Knife - $80
>Forschner / Victorinox Cimeter Knife, 14" - $70
>Bayou Classic 24-Quart SS Stockpot + Steam Basket - $53
>Fleur by Fontignac Oval Dutch Oven - $200
>Cuisinart 16-Inch Rectangular Roaster with Rack - $60
>Catskill Craftsmen 20"x20x3" Butcher Block - $80
>KitchenAid KPSA Stand-Mixer Pasta-Roller Attachment - $64
>iDevices iGrill2 Bluetooth Thermometer - $82

How nice of cookware do professional cooks use? Let's say Michelin starred restaurants.

By what I mean is, when you go to Williams-Sonoma or some shit they'll have $1500 sets of All-Clad cookware, and it'll only be like a 10 piece set or something. They say shit about how good the heat dispersion and shit is.

So my question is, do professional cooks use super expensive shit like this? Or do they just use cheap stainless steel? I can't imagine a kitchen shilling out thousands and thousands of dollars for cookware, no matter how famous it is. Especially considering the amount of abuse it goes through

I would ask the same question about knives too, but chefs usually own their own knives, don't they?

>tl;dr
Do professional chefs and cooks at "high end" restaurants use expensive cookware like All-Clad, or do they use cheaper commercial grade shit?
