What do you guys think of Cuban food?

I think it's pretty terrible. Like all South American cuisine, it's bland and mostly made of chicken, guinea pigs, and potatoes.

Anyone who disagrees with me is probably going crazy about Chipotle even though they don't even have lengua.

>no Halloween candy thread

You faggots, what are you giving out Saturday? I haven't bought candy yet. Anyone give out homemade treats in 2015? I sure as fuck am not, my mom used to make me throw it away. Have you carved your pumpkins? What are you dressing up like?

Hey /ck/
Never posted here before, but I stole this from work.
I was going to pour it out, but I'm starting to feel like that'd be a waste. I kind of want to mix it with a liquor or bake something with it. I'm not the sharpest tool in the kitchen, so I figured you guys might have an idea or two.

Why do they Jew you so much on the fries? They advertise bottomless fries, then they bring you a tiny cup of them. Then you have to bend an arm to get more. The waitress didn't even come back until it was time to pay. Red Robin. More like Red Rabbi.

Making risotto. I know white wine is usually used to deglaze a pan. However, I'm off in college away from my parents, and I'm only 20 so I can't buy alcohol. I don't use cooking wine because it tastes like shit. Can I use a vinegar to deglaze the pan instead? I'm thinking either apple cider vinegar or balsamic, to add kind of a sweet and tangy flavor to it

Can I use a vinegar instead of white wine to deglaze a pan when making risotto

so i'm going to start work in a few days and i need extremely simple, low cost, low effort foods that are somewhat healthy that will fill when i get home or if i pack for lunch.
i already have a few thought out, but require more. i'd eat meat more if it wasn't so annoying to cut up, store, thaw, and clean up afterwards.

here's what i have so far
>oatmeal, rice, pasta
>pan fried: okra, brussel sprouts, asparagus
>salmon, chicken breast
>baked potato
