>>6998922It's not so much your argument as it is the need for people to highly overload any dish with totally unnecessary components. As I've seen and tasted, these are the items most massively overused: garlic, onion, peppers (of any sort), black pepper, ginger, wasabi, soy, and of course, salt.
It's two-fold. On one hand, people are used to a textural facefuck of salt and spices (lemon infused chicken reduction over a bbq glazed ham with ghost pepper and onion-ginger puree) and on the other, people really do hate actually tasting the natural flavor of the foods they eat for some reason...
Instead of these ingredients, I would suggest (WITHOUT FUCKING WITH THEM/adding tons of unnecessary bullshit): cucumber, avocado, carrots, celery, spinach, kale, tomato, sweet peas, broccoli, green beans, sweet potato, corn...the list goes on and fucking on...
