I grew up in a real shitty place, with a shitty family and little in the way of proper food. But man... I had access to a library card. And the library had Redwall books. I would read them at night and try to picture how that kind of food would taste. It didn't just help stoke my imagination, it gave me hope. I wanted to eat like that one day.
