bourbon is a bit more accessible in terms of price, and honestly i like the flavor of it more. grab yourself a bottle of ancient age or ancient ancient age if you want to try decent bourbon at a cheaper price. maker's mark is good, but not at how much it costs.
the best bourbon i've ever had is blantons, but i can't get that in my state anymore.
