I think dim sum is what its called in north america and yum cha what we call it in australia/nz

i wanted to make a documentary about yum cha cause itd be a good way to eat a lot of food but i couldnt think of any way to make it interesting enough for an hour

Yum cha literally means "drink tea" (yum is drink and cha is tea) in Cantonese. Here in Hong Kong that's what people say when they're asking if you've had any kind of breakfast, even though it refers to dim sum specifically. Dim sum is the actual type of food. You would say something like "I'm going to yum cha. There I will eat dim sum."
