You can't roast low quality green coffee in such a way that will make it taste good.
You can't brew a poorly roasted bean in such a way that will make it taste good.
You can't brew a stale bean in such a way to make it taste good.
You can't brew a freshly roasted, poorly sourced/roasted coffee in such a way that will make it taste good.
You need all of the parts to work for any of it to work.
Freshness is also overrated. Coffee generally is nicest at at least 4 days post roast. Some is best even up to a few weeks post roast.
