>>7015656Good to know. I'm legit interested since my parents sent me to a Protestant school when I was younger. Not to poke holes in your (previous) beliefs but don't the guests at the wedding praise the wine Jesus made as the best stuff they've ever had?
>good, God honoring beverageLike I said, try things until you find something you like, then keep on trying until you have a rough idea of your likes and dislikes.
I'd recommend a pilsner or lager if you're just trying beers out for the first time. IPAs are hoppier, which is why some people think it tastes like citrus or grapefruit rind. And then there are stouts like Guinness. Don't try them unless you're a black coffee kinda person.
If you want wines, go for a cabernet sauvignon (red or white) or a chenin blanc (white). Those tend to be lighter and easier to drink. You can get a rose (ro-say, a blend of red and white) if you want but don't be surprised if the cashier gives you a judgmental look.
Note that sometimes a $10 bottle may give you more enjoyment than a $100 bottle.
