I think I've come to the conclusion that anyone who is 'bad' at cooking is just stupid. It's common sense when something is cooked properly or not. Everyone has been to restaurants and had food that can be considered well-cooked. By the power of simple observation you can become at least a worthy amateur cook.
I never really understood how someone could be bad at cooking for an extended period of time if they actually attempt to cook every now and again. Even guessing and testing would eventually help you learn what's acceptable and not.
Oh the chicken is turning black I better turn the heat down. The rice is all mushy maybe I'll cook it less next time.
I brought this up because before a couple years ago I never cooked anything. Now I cook meals all the time. Nothing extravagant, but I can feed myself, cook things properly, and follow a recipe if need be. Cooking is one of the easiest things in the world in my opinion.
