hey /ck/, college student here
my roommates and I just bought a waffle maker because it was on sale and we have no idea how to use it to make good waffles or stop this shit from happening
any general tips on how to make good waffles with a maker?

Preheat it.
Pam spray, top and bottom
Small ladle of batter
Close it and LEAVE IT closed until the light on top turns off
Remove waffle, repeat from step 1.

Buckwheat waffles are great. Wafflemakers are wonderful for making bacon as well.

I use clarified butter and a silicone pastry brush to grease my waffle maker. Perfect waffles every time.
Also, adding about 1/4 cup of cornstarch to your flour will make your waffles crispier on the outside.
Also, grilled cheese made in a waffle maker is glorious.

This is why they need to teach common sense classes in high school instead of chemistry and physics and shit. Leave that to kids who are going to pursue STEM. The average teenage dipshit in high school needs to know common knowledge
