some organic foods (like avocado or broccoli) probably arent worth buying organic because it takes so little pesticide to raise them, so you're just paying a major markup for little gain. Some are worth buying because the prices are so close.
bear in mind organic food can still use pesticides, they just cant use the big chemical ones (ie roundup). organic pesticides have a wide range of sources and over the years some of these have been revealed to be toxic in nature. so you've just traded carcinogenic roundup for parkinsons causing Rotenone (well this one has been banned)
Really your best bet is to find a store that sells organic produce from some relatively local farm that you mildly trust to not sell you trash food covered in chemicals
which leads to whole foods. Whole foods is grossly overpriced because of its name recognition, you're just paying for the brand. Unless its like the only option for "high end' food, you're better finding some quality local chain or establishment
