How do you normally serve bread to be served with a meal? I don't mean baking your own loaf, some of us actually have full time jobs and mouths to feed. Just asking what you conjure up when a few friends or family members come by.
>slice loaf of French bread from bakery at about 1 centimetre slices
>place on baking pan and drizzle a little olive oil over them
>sprinkle some dried oregano over them
>top each piece with a generous pinch of sharted sharp cheddar
>bake in oven at 300 degrees for 20 minutes
They come out delicious and my guests just gobble them up and lots of times I make more.
