Why is it that carnists are outraged over seeing a fish that's still wiggling when you cut it up, and yet consider their religious consumption of CAFO meats to be the only thing separating them from barbarous veganism?

It might be said that carnists do not have control over their emotions. Otherwise, what would explain their overreaction when reminded that meat doesn't just come from "the store".
