I just received like 10 pounds of intense dark coffee beans in the mail as a gift. I usually just brew medium or light as a pour over / moka pot.

What are good brew methods for fucking dark roasted coffee? I tried making it in moka pot but it tasted like chalk.

drip/pour over method, lower temps (bring to a boil and count 15 rather than 5 before pouring)

finely ground and cold brew IMO the best option
also it may be stale overroasted beans go bad in like 3 days if you don't freeze or some shit

Weigh out 15grams whole bean coffee
Weigh out 240 grams filtered water
Bring water to boil
Place paper filter in v60 and place v60 over decanter
Rinse the filter and preheat the v60
Grind your coffee to the consistency of table salt
Put the coffee in the middle of the filter; shake to level
Pour 60g of water in a spiral motion over the coffee
Stir vigorously until 15 seconds
At 30 seconds, add another 60g spiraling from the inside to the outer edge of the slurry
At 1 minute, add the remaining water in the same fashion
Give the v60 a gentle swirl after the water is poured
Put on some nice music
Grab your favorite mug
When the water has all drained through the filter (about 2:30) remove the v60 from the decanter and throw the filter away
Give the brew a stir to homogenize
Pour directly into the trash
Grab the rest of your gross ass burnt coffee and throw that away too
Go out an buy some traceable, lightly roasted coffee instead

Adjust the grind to taste :>

Just so you know there will be no difference in temperature here, especially if the lid of your kettle is still on.
