I generally do that OP.
On the weekdays I basically eat like a monk.
I wake up, have a cup of coffee, an apple, a bowl of steel-cut oats with yogurt, and usually a small piece of lean fish or a sausage. Sometimes bacon. Every day. That meal will come out to ~400-500 cal
Lunch is usually brown rice with chicken, a spinach salad dressed in rice vinegar, and maybe some more fruit or some soup. That meal will come out to ~500-600 cal
Dinner is extremely spare. I have a Quest bar for fiber, usually accompanied by one other item. Sometimes it's a small salad, sometimes some string cheese, sometimes some Greek yogurt with peanut butter (I crush up the Quest bar into the yogurt, pretty cash), or some carrots or something. That comes out to ~200-300 cal
On top of that I drink 2 gallons of water and pop a multi-vitamin. So overall I'm peeing a lot of the carb bloat out and keeping at or under 1,400-1,500 cal a day. That way, I keep at ~140 lbs, and I'm too busy at uni to hit the gym like I do in summer.
But on weekends I like to go out with my friends. That doesn't mean I go crazy, except on occasion. But I might have a beer, or some gummy bears, or some ice cream, or a nice Sunday brunch, or KBBQ.
I think it cancels out.
