If one accepts that cooking can be considered an art, then it doesn't matter how atrocious the artist is, all that matters is the quality of the product.
For example; I love Lou Reed's music. It was meaningful to me as I was growing up, and I think it's masterful in the use of lyrical symbolism and the music is great. Berlin is one of my favorite albums of all time.
But Lou Reed was a self-hating, woman beating half-a-fag kike drug addict. I can decry the person, but not the product.
