I looked down at her and said the only thing that came to mind
...well obviously not
she was out there screaming and carrying on, berating me with insults, and even though she was doing something very stupid walking out in the street under those conditions, I know legally I'm responsible since I was driving.
I tried to do the right thing but she wouldn't calm down, so I said
you know what? fuck you. Got in my car and sped off.
