>>2982922The target audience is pretty much people who grew up with power rangers / sentai and a lot of the jokes relay on the audience either having some knowledge of the franchise or being otakus themselves ie when Red sees a super expensive model kit and calls it cheap.
The first season is pure gold, and pretty much every episode centered on Yellow has fujoshi moments. The second season is pretty meh and I have the impression that someone in the production team realized that they crossed a line with the gay because a lot of stuff related to that gets retconned, including how Kabukicho got defeated.
