I really hate this Babs/Luke relationship.

It feels so forced. He was in a couple issues where he barely interacts with her at all. Then at the end of last issue, after no signs of chemistry before that point, they kiss. Now he's apparently Barbara's boyfriend?

How can the writers expect the audience to be interested at all in this random ass "romance"?

Two issues only, actually. He met her in the previous issue and went to the wedding with her in this one. That's it.

He's also nothing like he was in his comic, not that he had any distinct characterization anyhow. He's literally a blank.

Grayson 12 implies that their relationship was just Barbara using Dick for sex.

"You knew what this was Grayson..." was one of the word bubbles and it's pretty obvious what that meant. He wanted more, thought it was a real relationship, and Barbara just wanted sex.

Simone's run, to me, felt like she was bitter that DC threw all Babs character development as Oracle out the window... She's not the best writer in the world but she has moments where she shines and Batgirl logically should have been one of those.

The thing about that issue that everyone forgets, in the context of the story, Barbara does not let him talk. She tells him to shush and then proceeds to kiss him and drags him to bed... He should have told her but he never really had a chance.

Is there a plot to this book? Is Babs even pursuing her degree anymore? I've enjoyed this run the because I really like Tarr's art, but there doesn't seem to be anything happening. This issue really exemplifies that, it's nothing but filler. Fletcher and Stewart have been writing this book for a year now and I don't feel like there's been any progress or development in all this time.
