I can't think of one "peaceful protest" that actually worked or anyone gave a shit about. Maybe the Montgomery’s Bus Boycott, but I don't think that counts as a protest.

I'm not saying that people SHOULD or HAVE to riot, but a a protest that doesn't get in anyone's way is a waste of your time, because if you give people the ability to not give a shit, then they won't.

Honestly, so what. Idiots are going to cherrypick and take shit out of context for their own ends no matter what.

It'd be crazy not to discuss Nietzche because Nazis misappropriated some of his ideas. It's just as crazy to be afraid of making salient, valid criticisms against the negative aspects of the Black community (or any community, for that matter) because some people will take it out of context.

If the best racists can do nowadays, as opposed to enforcing segregation or openly burning crosses, is crib notes from a stand up routine, that should be a sign that we've at least made some progress.

Well, the issue is that the majority will run away with an idea and judge you based on misconceptions and stereotypes, there's not a goddamn thing that you can do about it, attempts at educating others falls short, and these sort of things will follow you in everyday that's the problem.

Superman was wrong because he was utterly senseless about the whole thing. He knows Luthor wants to rule everyone, not nuke them into the ground. he saw a lead lined device and immediately tried to plow through an orphan city to disable it that moment. Everyone except Marvel knows Luthor's up to something, but Superman didn't bother to find out what it was, he just saw "Luthor's doing _______ I should go punch it." His behavior in that episode was a lot closer to what Luthor claims is the problem with Superman.
Marvel was still wrong, but Superman wasn't right either.

They've been passed by those other groups because there wasn't a set of laws deciding that they shouldn't get anything and should remain second class citizens. Yes, I know the Irish had it bad when they first appeared, but they entered this country as freemen and could move up in the country. Andrew Jackson's parents were Scots-Irish colonists. Yes, at this time in America an Irishman could become president while it learning to read for black people meant the pain of death.

Yes, things are better than before, but we're still not 'here" yet. It's a bigger problem than "blacks just needs to be less black", because what's wrong is how they ended up there in the first place, and that's riddled in most of the history of the United State's existence.
