>>77097450Depending on how real it gets, a lot of times when a character is crying and it isn't at an expected moment (like if someone they knew just died) or played for humor. Not that I dislike emotional moments, just that they can be initially hard to watch if they're treated realistically.
Also when a character is forced into a situation you know they absolutely don't want to happen, they're embarrassed the whole time, and still feel like shit afterwards. Any one of those elements on its own is okay, but the combination is pretty painful.
I actually like humor based around characters being painfully awkward in public, even though I know that's cringy as hell for most people, so it's not the awkwardness that gets me so much as the show seeming more "realistic" than usual, at least on an emotional level.
