So is this worth picking up? Also, does anyone know if there's a place I can get a digital version DRM free? I'd pretty to not read it through Amazon's shitty app.

Or should I have posted this to /mu/ and asked them about their taste?
I'm the guy that suggested Superman and Icon have an ongoing monthly team-up fighting Intergang in Metropolis.
Superman and Icon play basketball with the inner-city youth, and they help kids in trouble of falling through the cracks regain their bright and promising futures.
So.. Anyway.. I was thinking how interesting it is that in the 90s and early 2000s there was a huge push for black heroes, then it just dropped off the face of the Earth.
So, I present to you. The Electric Company.
Founding/Reoccurring Roster: Steel Mr. Terrific Cyborg (Yes I know he's a full-time Leaguer, but bear with me.)
Steel: John Henry Irons, aeronautics engineer with NASA, until budget cuts sent him home to Metropolis, and to work as a common construction worker. Superman's arrival (MoS) inspires Irons to build a super suit and help out. "One man can't do it alone."
Victor Stone: College football quarterback headed for the Big Leagues until a cosmic accident robs young Vic of his promising future. In an attempt to save his son's life, Doctor Stone merges Victor's DNA with an experimental Kryptonian living metal. With help from Superman, Cyborg was born. "Half man, Half machine.. All hero!"
Mr. Terrific: Michael Holt is the world's second smartest man, a title barely anyone remembers him for. Consumed by jealousy Michael dons the alias of Mr. Terrific and starts a gang called "The T's". What follows is a cyber crime wave unlike anything Metropolis has ever seen. When Superman stops the Ts from blowing up Metropolis' central fiberoptic lines, Mr. Terrific nearly kills him with an electric shock measuring in the gigawat range. Overcome by guilt, Mr. Terrific abandons the fight, but is later freed from prison by Superman, who plead for Michael's freedom sighting that his genius could be used for great advancements in technology and the human condition. Superman acts as Mr. Terrific's parole officer.
>Patty Jenkins, director of Monster and the pilot of The Killing is directing, she is a military brat, who lived in 15 nations by the age of six,she also is a fan of stylish Direction, The Killing showcasing that with a True Detective genre story. She also is fond of Comedy, listing Monty Python and Arrested Development (which she directed for)as favs. She, like Ayer for Squad, is shooting on film.
>The writer is to be decided with a Tournment. Five writers write one act given a treatment, and then the two best go head to head with full scripts. Fuchs is a finalist, known for his Chikdren films Ice Age Continental Drift and Rags, both of which sold far beyond expectations. However he scripted Pan, which despite getting on The Blacklist, bombed horribly. His competition is unknown.
>Rumors detail a WWI setting (evoking the turn if the century concepts Wonder Woman was based on, think of it like a Pulp Superman) and Ares and Circe as bad guys, with Sean Bean and Eva Green eyed for the roles.
>Chris Pine is playing Steve Trevor, and said some pretty Marston-esque Copy about the film
"I team with this intelligent, beautiful and strong [woman] to destroy the wicked and save humanity"
>WB has stated each franchise to have it's own unique style, so just as Suicide Squad differs from Man of Steel, so to is Wonder Woman.
>Diana was called a demigod, which coukd be a figure of speech referencing her divine origins, although the Zeus origin has been spoken of.
>Diana is also immortal, like in the Young Jusice film, giving weight to the period piece theory.
And that's about it. What do you hope from tbe film? What do you expect, best, worst and mjdwdle Case scenario? What literature do you expect and hope to influence the film?
