Look at the bag when it goes into Marge's cart.
In the original, it follows traditional animation of bouncing down and condensing, before springing higher and thinner than its original shape, then settling down to normal. It's the bouncing ball technique; Animation 1-0-fucking-1.
The new one just has a slight bounce down to acknowledge weight and inertia, but then immediately springs to normal so that Maggie has a chance to shake two frames of animated fist at the other baby.
Same goes of course for Marge's hair. It adds so much visual punch to have such a large twirls to her hair accentuating her head turn.
This is lost in the new one which just follows a handful frames of the head moving from a 3/4s look to the right, to a 3/4s look to the left.
Maybe the old rubbery look of cartoons is outdated. But it adds so much more interesting flourishes to look at. Animation shouldn't strive to be photo-realistic; neither in looks or movement.
