At the beginning of that episode, the MLG airhorn playing the whole time the fire department flies around shirtless was actually pretty funny, but that's basically the whole show: every episode, there's one gag that's pretty funny, which they will then wear out over the course of 22 minutes by doing it over and over and over and over again.

Also, Will Forte isn't even remotely funny, and Rob Lowe is wasted on this garbage.

I finished the first episode but I didn't manage to invest myself too much on the comedy bits. Love the cast, and he music and art direction are amazing, too. The Patrick Nagel influenced style is probably my favorite aspect of the series.

So, /co/, does it get better?

The only real reason I'm watching is for the art style and the overt '80s pop-culture references because I'm a sucker for that shit. And because Pizzaz is my waifu. There are certainly a few jokes that I thought were funny, but most jokes barely get a chuckle from me.

Hopefully it's just a poorly written episode that doesn't become a trend defining Pizzaz as a character. I actually liked her in the other episodes, but this last one... She suddenly becomes a weak-minded and makes awful decisions.

Also, Chrysalis is just a greenhorn rookie. She seems pretty smart, but unfortunately she has to listen to Dazzle.

In episodes 1-2 he at least had a lead for awhile and seemed dangerous enough to whatever Dazzle was doing. From then on he went to become either a straight up failure from the beginning or more of a side dish rather than the actual opponent.

Beware the Batman was fucking doomed the second it was set to succede two well-loved and popular non-bat-related DC shows, giving the impression that the network decided to stop trying and just shit out Batman.
Pretty much no one was ready to give it a chance. The 3D CGI was just the nail in the coffin.

You know if this show gets a second season, maybe should they add another cop to the cast that's on the opposite spectrum of Dazzle and Rad. A cop that actually does his job. A cop that is extremely devoted to stopping crime. However that character would also have flaws. Their methods of stopping crime could be very violent. They could be quick to anger, which could lead to problems (or solutions). They could also have strict principles of right and wrong and be unwilling or stubborn to compromise when needed to.

You know on the one hand, she was dealing with someone who was of a higher authority than her, so that could just justify her behavior. On the other hand, the way she acted in this episode does seem out of character for her. I don't know maybe they were trying to add more dimension to her character. I just don't know if it worked out in the end.
