He basically said what Small told us about not agreeing about the budget and all that. He implied he doesn't really care about what happens to the series now that it's more about plot than comedy, but he's fine with Hulu picking it up.

I can't help but kinda of agree with this, only because the whole chosen ones thing I think is kinda lazy, overplayed, and expected something more from the series.

I suspect some sort of twist is involved with them being the chosen ones and all. I definitely don't see it being played straight. I can almost respect what you're saying though. Even still, the show made clear that there was an overarching plot from the first episode, so for Lazzo to say "Fuck it" now is just a plain dick move.

It WOULD be great if they could maintain the same kind of formula they had in previous seasons, with the plot stuff coming up to the head in a few heads and gently simmering in the background in all the others. Maybe begin with the band just chilling out and doing whatever the fuck they want, as usual, at the beginning of the season. Just gotta wonder how that's going to balance out with the fact that the bad guys are supposedly going to be more involved now without making Salacia too incompetent.

There's probably not gonna be a lot of the band just being the band this time around. With only 6 episodes and as many open plot threads as there are, I just don't see it happening. At the very least, Salacia won't just be background noise again.

Oh, only 6 episodes? How long are they supposedly going to be? I don't think it's going be that big of an issue, then. I wouldn't even mind if they just did one big 'movie/musical' again.
