Hi Guys, I always been interested into DC universe.
I started reading something, like Blackest Night but I feel there is something missing.
Can you help me with a list of BEST stories?
Something like the origins or whatever

As long as you udnerstadn taht there's no "important stories" and all these events that DC and Marvel hype up as "CHAANGING THE FACE OF THE UNIVERSE FOREVER" will get their changes undone in several months and those changes will only apply to a fe titles(usually the ones written by the guy that did the event) then you're good.

Check also Gotham Academy. It's a simple story but it has nice characters and really good art.

This is my favorite DC comic, the art style is very unique and so is the story. Morrison is on his game on this one

Green Arrow Longbow Hunters is probably my second fav, but I really haven't read a ton of DC

Oh and Hellblazer of course, that above both the others but the only good stuff was the Vertigo stuff.

I'm not going to flood you with recs but just read

Morrison's JLA (Early 2000 DC)
52 (Mid 2000 DC)
Forever Evil (Modern DC)

If you don't like any of those three you probably won't like much DC (barring Vertigo)

There's a lot more to the DCU than just those three books, although admittedly they all give a really nice overview of interconnected parts of the superhero community.

None of them really cover magic shit in the DCU, for example though.

Manapul/Buccelato's run of the New 52 Flash is a pretty great read with AMAZING artwork.

Also check out 90's Flash after Wally takes over the position following Barry's death in COIE. That's a solid, like, 15 years of good-to-FUCKING AMAZING comics right there. Waid, Morrison and Millar, and Johns' runs (pre-Rebirth) are all great.
