She was pretty cool and chill, but she definitely had major problems and she wasn't really taking care of them properly. I never intruded on anything because I felt it was none of my business (besides, I was, at the time, trying to help my ex get through a ton of bullshit and I had no energy to spare for someone else).
I could see why guys always hit on her, though. She had that loner waif feel to her and she was probably the most grounded person I met. If she hadn't been a chain-smoker and I hadn't met my ex, I would've crushed on her.
I used to just play her copy of Katamari Damacy on her PS2 whenever me and my ex visited. Or we would watch a movie together.
My ex and Lauren both lived in pretty run down places. Lauren's grandma's place was really old and wasn't exactly up to code and my ex's house should've been condemned decades ago and torn down. I don't know if Lauren still lives in her grandma's attic or if she moved and knows new people now or has a new boyfriend or what. Or if she's even still friends with my ex-gf (for her sake, I hope not -- she wasn't really a great influence on her).
Really, I just don't know how to feel. This was the last place I expected to run into my past. I never thought people on 4chan would be talking about someone I knew in person.
