Weren't Extraordinary X-Men issues 1 AND 2 scheduled for this month?

Where the fuck did Thors and Squadron Sinister's #4 run off to?

Why do they KEEP announcing new #1's every other week written by some assholes they found walking by on the street?

How can the INDUSTRY LEADER keep being so goddamned clumsy and unprofessional? This is the most shameful execution of a linewide relaunch I've ever seen. WAY more so than both New 52 and Marvel NOW.

As someone only loosely following comics I am totally confused by Marvel atm.

I heard they were relaunching everything. And so I was just gonna wait for the new line-up. But I don't know when that is. Also the reboot seems to be half-assed and only some lines are being redone.

But wasn't the universe going to get destroyed or some shit? How are some still ongoing and some aren't?

Because they want to have their cake and eat it too. So many of the "new" titles are just the same creative team picking up where they left off.

Astonishing Ant Man for example. It was a great comic and a cool continuation of what came before, but AWFUL as a "#1". Marvel took the wrong conclusion from the fact that the first issue sells the best, and thought, correctly, they could artificially climb Diamond charts through jacked up prices of new series.

Dude, that's happening as we speak. There's a comic for Superman & Lois, Titan Hunt, heck even the "New 52" titles are going fast and loose with continuity. DC is actually pretty good right now.

I was more talking about the way this month at Marvel has been half finishing Secret Wars tie-ins, and half ANAD #1's, and how they STILL haven't finished everything from Secret Wars after this month is up.

They're oversized issues. 40 pages instead of 32, so $1 more expensive.

It got delayed but never resolicited. Don't know what the deal is there.

Delayed to November since all the X-books are coming out after Bendis' last issue which got delayed. Presumably because of rewrites requiring art to be redone or something.

A number of Secret Wars books tie into the last issue or two of Secret Wars, so they had to be delayed so as not to spoil the SW issues.

Half of them are probably stealth minis, and getting new talent in the door is by no means a bad thing. The major flaw with Marvel's initial wave of announcements was by the lack of new talent, so it's good to see others coming in.

Yeah, the Secret Wars delays really fucked everything up. They may be the industry leader, but this is a pretty piss poor industry.

This could have been such a better relaunch if it weren't for all the delays and staggered releases.

The relaunches are spread out from October to February. A number of books have already relaunched with more each week. They've got, like, 70 new ongoings or something crazy like that. Niggas just announced another 5 new books yesterday.

That's because it isn't a reboot in any sense. Nothing is being rebooted or redone. It's just a timeskip and some characters from alternate universes getting brought over to the main universe.

It was destroyed back in May. It's back.

well then you're at the wrong company. Marvel has literally given up on the ongoing model and has switched almost entirely to 12 issue miniseries, with only the most popular books able to go past that number. Not to mention every First Issue, every Last Issue, and half a dozen Special Issues in between now have to be oversized and overpriced. Marvel JUST got done raising the overall price of their comics to 3.99, and already they're trying to bump it up to 4.99

It's fucking bullshit.

Except for like 15 of the books that have the same goddamn creative team and actually are continuations of pre-SW ongoings. Like Ant Man, Howard the Duck, Squirell Girl, Hawkeye, Spiderman, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc.
