Honestly what fixed everything for me was turning my life into the movie Yes Man.

I didn't set out for it to be my New Years Resolution or anything like that but I just decided I was tired of living in isolated comfort and that from now on I would say no to any invite. Last night I was in bed at 12am watching The Clone Wars tired as fuck but I got a call from a coworker asking me if I wanted to go out to go out with her and her friend. Said yes right away and had a blast. They always invite me places with them because they know I'm always down.

In HS I constantly turned down offers to go out because of my social anxiety and I just realized that nobody wants to be around that kind of person. So now I always try to be open and available for plans and it's gained me a bunch of new friends.

If you need to get that first initial foot in the door try just asking your friends if they're doing anything this weekend or even invite them out. I got lucky and made new friends at a new job but I'm sure your friends would start inviting you again if you just made the effort first.

Actually it was an instance of looking forward, not back. The Sith Empire sensed through the Force the future impressions of the TRUE Sith, Sheev, and his glorious Empire. They mistook it for meaning they were going to be unending. They were wrong. Very wrong. Their failure would lead to ten thousand years of Sith failure where Sheev had to clean up after their mess.

Then the canon purge happened and, well, true canon was hardly inspired by non-canon.

As for the Rebels books, Servants of the Empire/Ezra's Gamble are original stories, but everything else listed there is just Season 1 episode in book form for parents to read like bedtime stories.

That's a case of poor editing or the author not bothering to use the Blu Rays as the framework. Those parts(such as the Executor being incorrectly identified as the Eclipse) are obviously not canon, like Sixes.

They really just tore the dome off though, most of the actual systems including the astromech brain are probably still intact.

There's actually a funny pottery story that goes with this. Well before ROTS came out, the story was that R4-P17 was a standard R4 unit on some world Anakin visited, and she had her dome crushed or something and Anakin, being a techno-wizard, modified her to have an R2 shell dome. So I guess it's kind of amusing that she meets her end by dome removal.

Anyway it's all Legends now so she was actually probably just an ordinary Jedi droid. But I always had a fondness for her. Probably because I've always liked Obi-Wan a lot and his starfighter was one of the coolest things about episode 2 for me back in the day.

Eh, I still think it's the weakest of the PT. It's got a slightly more concrete plot than AotC, but with fewer moments that tried to win me over. If I had to stack the things I enjoyed vs the things I didn't, it'd be:

Sure, 99 runs off to retrieve more firepower, but Cody could have stopped the droid advancement in the barracks if he threw the damn grenade in his hand.

It's not exactly IMPRESSIVE, but it's okay.

The 3D conversion was very well done. I finally got a chance to see it at Celebration Anaheim. The movie's shot in a way that coincidentally is very 3D-friendly.

Thing is, Lucas has a very deadpan delivery and dry sense of humor. People who work with him for a long time will get when he is joking and find it funny, but the dudes working on The Force Unleashed barely knew him, and one guy decided to spread around the Darth Icky thing as if Lucas was being serious.

Almost everybody does. TCW was like a beautiful painting come to life. I guess Rebels KINDA' is too, with it being based on McQuarrie artwork, but it still seems a lot less details and more plastic.

They had planned to do all of them. AOTC was going to be early 2013, and ROTS late 2013. After the Disney deal and the shift towards producing a new movie, the 3D releases were put on hold and apparently they're just reserving them for conventions and such.

Some of the merchandise in 2013 still reflected this, since it was too late to change the stuff, so you had merchandise moving from the big Darth Maul design to a similar one featuring Yoda. That was meant to tie in to AOTC 3D, and later in the year there was a heavy Vader/Mustafar theme to merchandising for that same reason, since ROTS 3D was meant to come out.

AOTC and ROTS's conversions got Celebration screenings.

Turns out it's not worth it. I wish they'd stop.

Attack of the Clones had a really shitty conversion, because a lot of its shots are filmed in ways that you just wouldn't do if you knew you wanted the movie to be 3D. It was also not helped by the fact the conversion guys decided they wanted to test out new ideas with their 3D conversion and really push things to the limit; it gets too ambitious at times and fails miserably. A really good example is Lama Su and Obi-Wan on Kamino: when Lama Su is sitting in the big spoon chair, there's a 3D effect used to sort of give him a "lap", and to do this they sort of drew in a fold line at his waist.

Lama Su has a big golden belt buckle, though, and it keeps moving across the fold line. If they'd been paying attention, they would have modified the frames so that the belt buckle is a solid object that goes over the lap, but instead, the belt buckle keeps 3D folding and unfolding whenever it brushes the fold line, and it looks hilarious and terrible.

Another example of poor conversion, here because the shot just didn't work for it, is when Zam is running from Anakin after her speeder crashes. There's a segment where she's running from the distant background right up to the foreground before running off to the side, but the way the 3D is done, you can't even see her at first because she's in the same layer as the background, then she suddenly jolts forward to the background, then jolts again to the midground, then suddenly she's right in the foreground and your eyes are fucking exhausted. Then Anakin does the EXACT SAME THING. It's clearly difficult to convert, but it could have been a lot smoother and less painful to watch.

ROTS's conversion is better, but it's got its own big problem: it dramatically exaggerates the dimensions of every room in the movie.

Padme's apartment feels like it's the size of a football field.

I haven't watched TCW since probably Season 2 or 3, and even then it was intermittent so I've missed some episodes in between. Is it worth it to catch up on 100+ episodes? Granted I haven't seen the show since these episodes originally aired, but I remember really not liking the Ashoka/Jedi centric eps, but loving the clone eps.

Vader does mean "father" in Dutch, but it's pronounced quite differently, and it doesn't matter because earlier drafts already had the name Darth Vader picked out for a character who had no familial relationships to any other characters.

It's just a made-up name and the Dutch thing is a coincidence.

Shaak Ti was in TCW, yes. She was mainly stationed at Kamino to oversee the creation, training and deployment of the Clones. To my memory, Ahsoka never went to Kamino (on screen), this probably never met Shaak Ti outside of hologram meetings she could have overseen.

The BIGGEST problem is that 90% of the reason for the Machete Order is to protect the Vader reveal, which is so ingrained in our culture that damn near everyone on the planet already knows it. So that's pointless.

My sister said the change of era mid-trilogy was jarring. Having a 2/3-movie long "flashback" doesn't work at all.

Watching Machete/Release Order has becoming increasingly less useful as time goes on, and with the Sequel Trilogy here, they get even more confusing.

And where would you even fit in the spin-offs?

1) It's meant to protect the Vader reveal, but everyone already knows the Vader reveal through cultural osmosis, so there's nothing to protect.

2) Empire Strikes Back doesn't have an actual ending or resolution to its plot points. Return of the Jedi is the "ESB: Part 2" that actually resolves everything. The result is that ESB leaves everything hanging, and it actually got mixed reviews when it released for this very reason, among others.

Over time, ESB's reception has grown and improved, especially since ROTJ wrapped up the story so it's possible to watch ESB and not just be left frustrated at the end, but ESB's frustrating your first time.

And now you're going to shove two or three other movies in-between ESB and ROTJ as a flashback? Why? To make things MORE frustrating and leave the threads hanging longer?

So does anyone know who has Coruscant by the time of the new trilogy? I've looked through everything including spoilers for Episode 7 and I can't seem to get an idea of whether the New Republic ended up taking Coruscant and getting bigger than the Empire. All I've heard is that the Empire was in chaos after Episode 6 and they went to the Outer Rim but that doesn't really say exactly whether the New Republic have taken Coruscant by the time of Episode 7.

Ezra a little bitch for a 15 years old, he would be better if he was edgy. At least that would make him interesting. I hope he changes.
Kanan, i kinda like, he makes me sad, he went throught the clone wars and order 66 and i could feel it. He seems toknow he got himself i big trouble and i expect him to die eventually. I want him to die. Not now tho, something like in 5 years.

Sabine. Thats my big wtf? I dont get all the hate. She's deliberate, active, kick a bit toomuch ass if you ask me. Thats all for now, she kinda bland right now. But she'll get more interrsting with time, its fucking obvious.
Zeb. Jesus fuck.... i get why, fucking kid show. But fuck.... srsly? He's fucking anoying execpt for like 2 or 3 scenes. Him and ezra running everywhere? Ihope its the last we see of that.

Vader was niiiiiice.
Ahsoka? Didnt see enough to judge, but she felt like herself.
Tarkin? Kinda disapointed. Nothin else to say. Will wait for more.

1st inquisitor played his part well.

Overall? 5.5/10 no hype. But will watch.

It's had its ups and downs, yeah. I think what's helped it pick up the pace is that the plot's getting a little more complicated. Having Aphra do things on her own and having Thanoth as a constant presence have helped raise the tension.

I still think the two droids are mostly pointless, though and wouldn't mind losing them.

Arguably, being a jedi and able to do all the acrobatics the reverse grip could be more useful in some capacity. I know through what little arnis I've learned that a reverse grip is not useful in any capacity of that style, however.

Perhaps there is some elderly jedi like the guy who helped her find her stolen saber. And that's all he does. Just practices all forms in all ways. It's a little different for jedi. The force guides their movements. Also let's say a padawan is more partial to a form OTHER than what their master uses. The master will be able to train them a bit, but not in the manner they need. In the Lando comic, there are two that have seemingly been turned into zombies with Sith Magic.

In Lords of the Sith, there are some, at least one of which is confirmed to be a Clone, which is pretty damn badass. Lords of the Sith also has one using a blaster rifle, and not just the stick thing.
