So MoA claims the reason they made Ultimate Spider-Man the way they did was that they "didn't just want to tell the same old Spider-Man stories", rather they wanted to "add to the Spider-Man mythos".

But does that matter when what they "added" is stuff people either hate or just thinks is idiotic? Seriously, are there any good ideas that came out of Ultimate Spider-Man?

If they didn't want to tell the same old stories, then why the fuck do they use the Harry Osborn plot AGAIN?! I'm so fucking sick of that storyline, and Harry pretty much is a footnote in all of Spider-Man stories.

Sure, he had his story, but I feel that more elements like Black Cat, hell, even the Rhino are used and reflected on more. I mean, they use every chance they get to remind you that Gwen Stacy died. They almost never bring up Harry anymore outside the movies and TV shows.

I fucking despise this show, but he is 100% the best Spider-Man we've ever had. He has the banter down to a tee and is the voice I hear when I read the comics. Perfect casting.

The whole spider man and his b-string friends is one of the only redeeming parts of this show. Always liked the teen hero stuff and them coming into their own, Heck animated agent venom fuck yeah. Although they made all the other supporting cast shit like MJ and Harry...they kinda are just there...

Can you imagine if they adapted the "Aunt May's Boarding Hostel for Gifted Rejects" arc in Ultimate Spider-man? THAT would make for some good animated teen hero stuff.
