What are the best Spiderman runs?
I haven't read that much Spiderman besides a few issues of Ultimate, which I enjoyed.
My favorite Marvel run is Miller's DD, for context.
Do you think I should start out with Ultimate Spiderman, or is there something else you'd recommend?

There are some decent story arcs here and there but that's about it.

Fuck Spider-Man really, there's much better characters to get into.

One of the best Spidey runs ever in my opinion. It introduced Venom for the first time, plus a great debut with Totment. That shit scared me as a kid, seeing the Lizard eat a homeless man to strange, tribal drum beats. It was like watching a crocodile sneak up on a gazelle and slink back into the water with it.

He already was mentioned, but Roger Stern's run of Amazing is pretty much one of the best Spider-Man series.

I started reading modern Spidey for the first time (having quit with everything up to 90s era). I really love the few stories Joe Kelly's done with the cast.

Every time I get to Slott's issues, I feel like dropping it. I know there are ideas there, but I can't stand the voice of his characters. I just finished 600, I'm hoping it improves from there?
