Daphne is canonically supposed to be more attractive than Velma. Daphne is the attractive girly one, Velma is the nerdy smart one.

It's totally fine that people in reality are more into Velma, but people, you gotta at least recognize the original intentions of the show.

Daphne is the best girl.

People just like Velma better because betas are attracted to girls who look "attainable."

Daphne is the girl you'd want, whereas Velma is the girl /co/ thinks they could actually get.

/co/ is so beta that they even shy away from pretty 2D girls.

Of course, personality doesn't factor into it at all, because /co/ only cares about physicality as shown by the fact that it'll watch fucking anything provided there's something that's ostensibly supposed to resemble a cute girl present in the cast. Look at the QC General for further evidence.

on a version-by-version basis the only two times where Daphne wins in that argument definitively are Zombie Island and the current Be Cool Scooby-Doo. For the first it's because she seems more fleshed out as a character then usual with her driving ambition to be a professional journalist and discover a ligitimate paranormal experience. For the second it's the gimmicky-yet-endearing habit of adapting a new 'trait' every episode and that she has a good sense of humor for once instead of being in the more uptight 'rich girl' type of attitude. In fact it's so drastic in this current incarnation that she is either in a completely different economic class then many of the previous version of her character or that it is still a core trait but isn't featured as being important in the slightest and that's refreshing.

Mystery Inc Daphne is up there in terms of quality Daphnes but in that particular series she still manages to be overshadowed by Velma and her series of traits and character arcs.
