The problem with shows like "Ned" is that they rely very heavily on the audience buying into the interactions of the actors. Scott Fellows was lucky to get a cast like Devon, Lindsey, Daniel, and the rest that actually looked like they were genuinely having fun doing the show, especially with the outrageous material they were given to work with sometimes.
It's rare enough in live-action shows and doubly so in animated ones because both the actors and the animators have to evoke the aura of believability to make characters likable. Hopefully he'll have both available to him to help mitigate any tendencies he may have to go overboard.
