Qui-gon flicks his finger and sends several droids flying like nothing. Windu in full war mode throws his hands out and pushes back an army of droids.
There is no difference in size for the force, it is all about focus, will and determination. Also the fact that they were just droids instead of living things means that the Jedi could do whatever they wanted.
