Pretty sure a lot of the things in the Visionaries collections have been recollected. I know there are Complete collections for Miller DD

The 90's Peter David X-Factor ones are great and that run has never been recollected

Yesterday I picked up the first two trades of Azzarello's Wonder Woman, and Invincible Ultimate Collection Volume 6.

Even though his signature 60s style wasn't so developed in those earlier issues, I almost love them more just because of the breakneck energy throughout the pages. You get more ideas thrown against the wall in one issue than others have given in entire runs. It was an exciting time and still holds up today, if you can appreciate it.

Complete/Ultimate collections are usually more reasonably priced (due to being smaller and in paperback), so I tend to price compare all those with the omni and see which one I should get.

Anyone know why the Moon Knight Epic Collection from last week doesn't include issues 1-4? That seemed weird to me. Was hoping to collect the entire Moench run, but with the first 4 and last 3 issues not included, this seems like a poor way to do it.

Also, how are the epic collections generally? I've heard mixed reviews on their quality.

They are paperbacks and the paper quality isn't great, but at ~500 colored pages at ~20 bucks, it's pretty outstanding value. They also collect a lot of otherwise unobtainable material, so it's great if you're a fan of a particular series.

They're included in the volume released last year and there's going to be another one released next year. Epic collection are pretty sucky, shit paper and gutter loss but Marvel doesn't care about their old comics so don't expect better.

tomb of dracula and swamp thing are more introspective comics about monsters and the things they struggle with being a monster. not exactly scary stuff, more "deep" than anything

I should have checked and it's my fault. Epic collections, by definition, are not full runs usually. Those are the Complete editions or whatever they are called. Oh well. Not much I can do about it now..

Bought it in early August off Amazon. It looked fine when I got it and I have been looking at the binding as I've been reading it on and off since then. While the reviews are good on Amazon the top reviews are 1 and 2 stars talking about how the book comes apart.
