>>76980034>>76979971It's easier to appreciate when you put it in the context of Gob's own issues with his birth mother suddenly deciding she wants to cut off all contact with him after spending so much time getting along great. This is (probably) the climax of a long-running conflict that will eventually end with Pasqualo learning to accept that his mom doesn't love him and that he shouldn't base his self-worth on what shitty people like her think. Yeah, he's probably going to beat her up or otherwise prevent her from killing him, but the point is more that Pasqualo's going through a major personal transformation here.
Up until the apocalypse, Pasqualo almost exclusively sought external validation. Allison had to play therapist while Pasqualo ignored her problems, Aurora probably literally exists to feed Pasqualo's ego and their relationship was all about making Pasqualo feel better, Pasqualo rationalizes everything his father does as something he did out of love. But he's slowly fixing things and overcoming his depression, he's letting Allison take the spotlight and supporting her rather than the other way around, he told Aurora off about killing everyone and started dating a girl that is older than five months (though he looks like he was about to relapse on that), he's probably going to eventually accept his dad was a dick.
This is probably one of the biggest moments so far, though. hence all the goofy rapping and rainbow belches. Pasqualo can't do shit against his mother until he stops treating her like she's his mother. Shit is getting real and this fight is probably very close to escalating a shitload once Pasqualo finally stops making excuses for her to be shitty to him.
