I remember liking this show. Granny as a detective is an odd choice, but the real protagonist was Sylvester.
I think it had a tv movie where Tweety travels around the world with an orange female bird. I thinkeveral Looney Tunes make cameos.

I have fond memories of this show, not because I liked it, but because I liked some of the shows that aired around it. I think Earthworm Jim followed it frequently. I think that period of time was just one of my favorites in general for Saturday morning cartoons.

Also, for some fucking reason, despite having not watched this show, or even clips on youtube since it originally aired, the theme song it still stuck in my head, somethin' fierce.

Something that identifies all these 90s WB animated series is that odd sound that plays when something odd happens. I think this was the last show to use it, and I think it used it a lot.

Shows like Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Taz-Mania, Pinkie & The Brain, and maybe Tiny Toons, they all had this sound when something awkard happened, or there was a pause to get the joke, or there was a shot at a character's reaction face.
I don't think I ever heard it in any show after this one. For some reason I noticed it and associated it with this period of WB animation.
I kind of see "Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries" and "Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain" as the end of an era.

This will sound so lame but there was an episode where they were tracking down some criminal and it led them cavern. They're all tip toeing on ledge, backs against the wall then Sylvester says "Quick Call Commissioner Gordon, we found the bat cave." And I laughed my ass off.

This show was a major reason for why Tweety became such a super-popular character in the 1990s and 2000s—he and Sylvester had this relatively big, successful series.

Of course, today WB can't be bothered to finish releasing it, even to prop up the brand. They've put out... what, one season set?

Boomerang has been airing it a lot often.

CN also ran Courage reruns for literally a week after Boomerang began airing it often

They also aired Baby Looney Tunes for a while before moving it to Boomerang this year. Seems like CN has been in a Kids WB mood, they've also played Tom & Jerry Tales this year.

They should totally play Freakazoid or something next
