So do these three have the same creator and who is he obsessing over? Who molested him or whatever happened?
It can't be coincidence that there are three separate shows with three feisty red headed teen girls about 2-6 years older than the protagonist who (Nix Vicky) they crush on hard and get turned down hard by.

Frankie and Wendy are based on Lauren Faust. Craig McCracken (Foster's) is married to her and Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls) stalked her in college.

No idea if Hartman and Faust know each other.

They did.

When I took character design courses in college my professor was one of her friends, even attended her wedding. And from what I could tell everyone who knew Lauren before she got married to Craig had a thing for her. She was bright, energetic, funny, pretty, sympathetic, creative, and left you with a strong impression of familiarity. Oh, and she has red hair, it stands out and is often found as attractive.

Anyway, she met Butch at some point before FOP was made, I think it was at a film festival or animation industry convention. A lot of the big names in that age group came in contact with each other during or just after college, doing their internships or first real gigs. And A LOT of the men, especially brunettes, had a thing for Faust.

But Butch is a very strong believer in his faith, and Lauren never was one for religion, so nothing more than a passing fancy might have been there.

And I think Lauren is slightly above average (pretty, but not gorgeous) with a stellar personality. So it fits for a lot of animation nerds to develop an attraction toward her. And let's face it, there are not that many men in animation who are exactly alpha males.
