>>76993781Im proud to see all the 5/10 guys here. because theres a meme here about MoS being all or nothing. and i constantly have read the 5-8/10 comments in the trash war threads the past 2 years.
the reality is i am some one who thinks its the best cape flick yet, and nolans 3 were just as good. all 4 are 10/10.
all movies have flaws man lol. thats reality. and as creative beings we can imagine different situations for the plot, or as emotional beings allow our expectations to guide our judgement, but when its all said and done my film scale is too pragmatic for 4chan.
if a film has me able to feel dopamine rushes on par with narcos, especially several times, then its perfect. thats my scale.
like Mud (2012). that movie is the polar opposite of MoS and i give it the same 10/10. or Interstellar, or The Fountain.
i go into movies with no preconception or expectations, and i don't try to guess shit or wonder about whats happening next. i just want to be moved in my real world by the media.
MoS has these moments that have brought me to tears:
-make a better world kal
-you have abandoned the principles that once made us brothers
-should of let them die? .mm.m....maybe (intonated to signify pa kent doesn't believe that at all)
-tornado heroism showing deep down what pa kent believed for clark
-dont touch my mother
-the entire jor/kal convo climaxing with superman donning the costume and the overlayed "join you in the sun"
-the interstellar-esque ideas of "we fucked our planet up and didnt take to the stars"
-the hanz zimmer score
-kals disgust after killing zod
-and lastly, the "you can save them, you can save them all" now go save lois who is infatuated with everything you represent as a man now that she knows Life = Life and your alien heritage means nothing now that she knows you
in conclusion: more people here need a different state of mind when viewing media. a lot of "open minded" here is "im emotionally distant"
