in kindergarten in the late 80s I had arguments with other kids on who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman? and if Batman could fly with machines, all because of the Justice League cartoon (the one with the wonder twins)
I also played the NES Sunsoft Batman game
I watched Batman Returns, the one with De Vito and Pfeiffer, and also the ones with Val Kilmer and Clooney.
And also watched the Batman animated show.
I cant remember any moment in my life in which Batman wasnt very very popular, and I am more of an X-Men fan.
The Arkham games and Nolan were the main Batman cultural products of the last years, but there will surely be something else making Batman popular in 10 years.
