>>76995173Don't blame poor sales on the audience. They want to buy good comic books, but the way they are published is terrible, so they'll always be a niche product until somehow that changes. How many non-nerds even heard about Amethyst? How many non-nerds walk into comic shops full of terrible expensive products and (usually) really obnoxious basement dwelling sperglords and subsequently want to come back ever again?
Overpriced floppies need to die entirely for sales to have a sustainable boost (sustainable enough to let more obscure lines prosper). But nobody will be happy with cheap newsprint either. The only thing that general (casul) readers want to buy is trades because they are actual books. And they want to buy them from some place other than a comic book shop.
