There was another page from the same comic I've seen where she's having a discussion with Batman and it didn't really seem all that dramatic or necessary to have such a dramatic layout.
Maybe I just don't understand the context of the page, but aside from looking pretty cool it doesn't seem to have any correlation with what's happening.
You do it too often, and it reduces the impact of an unconventional page that's tied to a plot-defining moment.
