>>77009537- There's the sequel series, New Lone Wolf and Cub (while it's written by Kazuo Koike, it isn't drawn by Goseki Kojima, but the replacement artist, Hideki Mori, has similarly solid chops).
- There's also the "sort of prequel" to Lone Wolf and Cub called Samurai Executioner, also created by Koike and Kojima. More than a few Koike/Kojima fans consider this a superior work to Lone Wolf and Cub.
- Path of the Assassin is reasonably entertaining but is in IMO the weakest of the Koike/Kojima collaborations that I've read.
Other recs:
- Lady Snowblood: written by Kazuo Koike, art by Kazuo Kamimura; inspired the film of the same name.
- Crying Freeman: written by Kazuo Koike, art by Ryoichi Ikegami. Heavy on the melodrama, but entertaining nonetheless.
- Road to Perdition (an homage to Lone Wolf and Cub set in the Great Depression-era Chicago, written by crime novelist Max Allan Collins with art by Richard Piers Rayner)
- Blade of the Immortal (by Hiroaki Samura, offers a somewhat deconstructive take on many of the prevalent themes in Lone Wolf and Cub. Easily among my top ten all-time favorite manga.)
- Color of Rage: One of Kazuo Koike's lesser works, IMO, but Seisaku Kano's art is impressive, and Koike's attempts to tackle American racial politics in a chanbara-style context is interesting, if nothing else.
