Punisher MAX isn't about guns, it doesn't really focus on weapons all that much.
The Ennis stuff is GOAT Punisher though.

Doesn't have to be about them but they need to be a part of it i.e. I don't want a Spiderman comic with him disarming a man in one panel and then nothing or him just getting shot at for an entire issue.

Punisher MAX isn't steeped in realism. It's very much in the action movie vein where Frank can mow down criminals with ease while they can only hurt him if the plot calls for it.
