Zoog Disney. That's where the live action tween sitcom cancer started. Disney Channel used to feature a ton of animation, a lot of classic Disney library stuff, a large variety of non-Disney all audiences appeal material, but when Zoog Disney came around, it all faded away. They cancelled those Disney Parks Inside Out shows, classic Disney stuff hung in there for a while in the Vault Disney late-night block, but then even that got pulled to show more tween sitcom reruns. Disney Afternoon reruns were sent off to Toon Disney and then live-action cancer started there to turn it into XD.

When I was a kid having the Disney channel meant you had money. For some reason that stopped being a thing somewhere in the early 2000's. I was poor so I don't know if that's true or not.

When a company or industry finds a demographic they can easily exploit and turn a profit on they go back to the well more and more. In the long run it's ruin Disney and has had a last effect on the children's television industry. I've sat a watched Disney with my nephew and nearly all the live action shows are targeted towards girls. I even tried to point it out to him but he's too young to get it. He mention this to his little friends and they too didn't understand. They quickly pointed out the little brother or guy sidekick in the shows as proof that the show is for boys. When in fact those characters are usually comic relief goofs or there to be bullied.
