I want to get into Star Wars comics and want to know which are a must. I'd like to learn all about Star Wars lore and history especially the Expanded Universe.

I'm already reading the new Marvel series but (even though it technically doesn't exist anymore) I really want to read EU comics.

I was thinking about Legacy and Knights of the Old Republic- what else?

Just read the canon books. They are all good and actually fill gaps from the movies and expand the characters instead of being filler like the Dark Horse comics.
Leia happens a second after the ending of Episode IV, and addresses her grief after losing her home world, her parents, and acknowledges the fact that she should be a queen now, not a princess.
Vader and Star Wars run at the same time, a short time after IV, and are excellent. Vader retcons the moment when he realizes Luke is his son, connecting it to the prequels, and introduces several new characters. Wars expands on the time Ben lived near Luke, introduces Han's wife and has great art overall.
Lando and Chewbaka are okay.
Shattered Empire takes place a second after the ending of Episode VI and tells the story of Poe's parents. Poe will be one of the main characters of The Force Awakens. It's written by Greg Rucka, so you know it'll be good.

No, they're not. The main book and the miniseries have all been bland as fuck. Darth Vader is the only one worth reading.

Are there any Star Wars comics/books that tackles with mystery/adventure? Everything I read is Empire was there, clone wars here. One of the coolest parts about Kotor 2 was a different way of looking at Force.
