Like if you look at characters interacting it's mostly talking, but when it's with the environment he really puts effort in, although it can seem simple but he also knows how to not overcomplicate things.
The downfall of some animators who understand animation well, like Harry Partridge, is that they spend way too long making things on their own, being too perfectionist and trying to survive without help from others.
